About McKenna Medical Writing
Rachel Whitney McKenna, MD, MBA
Dr. McKenna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Exercise from Virginia Tech, and an MD and MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She did her medical residency in Pediatrics and her sub-specialty fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, specializing in Global Health. She also has a Diploma of Mountain Medicine and is a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. She has over 10 years of experience in academic medicine and scientific research.
In addition to her work as a medical writer, she works clinically in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and as a volunteer physician for humanitarian aid overseas.
Dr. McKenna is a member of the American Medical Writers Association.
